A single iron can be fit perfectly and still let you down if it doesn't gap correctly with the rest of your set. We fit and build the whole run together, not one club at a time.
Lie Angle, Length, and Gapping as One System
We check dynamic lie angle with impact tape on a lie board, not just a static reading — your actual delivery at impact often differs from what a chart predicts. From there we map carry distance across the full set to confirm even, repeatable gapping from wedge to long iron.
Once specs are locked in, every iron is bent to its individual lie angle on our bench, matched to a consistent swingweight step, and verified again after assembly — not just at the fitting.
What We Adjust Across a Set
Lie Angle
A lie angle even a couple degrees off sends shots consistently left or right of target, regardless of how square your face is at impact.
Length
Standard lengths assume an average posture and arm length — a half-inch adjustment can change strike consistency more than most golfers expect.
Shaft Flex & Weight
Steel and graphite both come in a range of weights within each flex label. We test across weight classes to find the most repeatable strike.
Head Type & Offset
Forged blades, players' cavities, and game-improvement heads all carry different offset and sole geometry, which changes how forgiving the club feels at impact.
Set Makeup
Deciding where irons stop and hybrids or wedges take over depends on real carry gaps, not tradition — we map this during the fitting.
Grip Size
Grip size shifts hand action through impact more than most golfers realize. We size and wind every grip individually on the bench.
What an Iron Fitting Can Fix
Consistent Left or Right Misses
An upright or flat lie angle sends shots to one side even with a perfectly square strike. A lie board test usually finds this in minutes.
Uneven Distance Gaps
If two irons carry nearly the same distance while another gap feels huge, your set isn't gapped evenly — loft and shaft adjustments fix this together.
Thin or Fat Contact
Length and lie angle both influence low-point control. Getting either wrong makes clean contact harder no matter how sound your swing is.
