FAQ

Questions Before You Book

Straight answers to the things clients usually ask before their first appointment at the bench.

Do you actually build the clubs in-house, or just fit and order them?

We build in-house. The hosel boring, shaft trimming, epoxying, and grip winding all happen on our own bench, by the fitter who ran your session — nothing gets sent to an outside factory or distribution center.

Do I need to be a low handicap to get fit here?

Not at all. Higher-handicap golfers often see the biggest gains from a fitting, since generic rack clubs rarely account for slower swing speeds or inconsistent strike location.

How long does a fitting and build take?

Single-club fittings run 45–60 minutes, iron set fittings run 60–90 minutes, and a full bag build session runs 2–3 hours. Actual builds are usually ready for pickup within a week, since we build on-site rather than queuing behind an outside order.

Do I have to buy clubs after my fitting?

No. There's never an obligation to purchase. You'll leave with a written spec, and if you do order, your fitting fee is credited in full toward the build.

What should I bring to my session?

Bring the clubs relevant to your fitting, the shoes you normally wear to play, and a rough sense of your typical scores or handicap if you know it.

Can you rebuild or rebore heads I already own?

Yes. A large share of our bench work is rebuilding existing heads onto new shafts, adjusting lie angle, or reboring a hosel that's been damaged — not just building new sets from scratch.

Do you fit left-handed golfers?

Yes. Our demo wall carries left-handed heads across every major category, and the launch monitor setup works identically for right- and left-handed golfers.

What happens if a build needs an adjustment after I take it home?

Any loft, lie, or length adjustment needed within 30 days of pickup is included at no charge, once your swing has had a chance to settle into the new equipment.

Do you keep a record of my build specs?

Yes. Every build gets a signed ticket with the full spec — head, shaft, loft, lie, length, swingweight, and grip — kept on file so a future replacement or repair can be matched exactly.

What areas do you serve?

Our bench is in the Proctor District of Tacoma, and we regularly serve golfers from across the South Sound, including Lakewood, University Place, and Puyallup.
